Welcome to Studio EGGI!
ABOUT US
We are a mission-driven design studio inspired by the magical world of children and the people who love them! We believe food and design are universal to being human, and that both can shape our well-being and sense of place in profound ways. In a world where nurturing healthy eating habits for our children is more crucial and complex than ever, we believe thoughtful and exceptional design can cultivate playful, engaging, and positive relationships with food.
HELLO WORLD!
In June 2024, Studio EGGI officially launched at the celebrated 3DaysofDesign festival, one of the most important design and cultural events in the world. The only children’s design product selected for the festival, EGGI Kitchen was showcased alongside the world’s leading design companies in a curated exhibition highlighting sustainable materials use.
OUR STORY
The seeds of Studio EGGI were planted years earlier when, as an architect and professor of design, I became a first-time mother in 2021. In those early days navigating motherhood, I quickly recognized the need for children’s furniture that wasn’t just visually beautiful and easy to use, but that would also create space for the richness and complexities of contemporary life. EGGI Kitchen is the result of three years of meticulous design, shaped by observing, learning from, and living with our own children, Yena and Aeva—who inspired the birds in our logo! (Little Yena on the left and baby Aeva on the right). EGGI Kitchen evolved within our home, meeting our family’s needs, challenges, and playful moments, while reflecting a deep understanding of what truly enhances daily life. -Elisa Kim, Studio EGGI Founder
EGGI KITCHEN
As we embarked on our journey feeding an infant and toddler we learned how intrinsic food is to a child's sense of wonder and discovery, and how thoughtful design can support a more playful and whimsical approach to food (and life). What resulted is something truly distinct and new. EGGI Kitchen changed how our children spend their time, how they relate to their own space and environment, and how they interact with food. We would love for you to join us on our journey as we try to revolutionize kids' playtime and their relationship with food.
